Celebrating four years since the inaugural Community First Night Owl Cinema Series, the beloved movie nights draw thousands of moviegoers who come to enjoy free, family-friendly films projected on a giant 18 by 32-foot screen on the St. Augustine Amphitheatre stage. This year’s movie lineup includes the blockbuster film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, the animated feature “Minions”, a David Bowie Tribute Night featuring a David Bowie Plaza Dance Party hosted by DJ Hoggle, a Best-Dressed David Bowie contest, face-painting and a screening of “Labyrinth” and Disney Pixar’s “Inside Out”. For complete details, please see the following page. Gates will open at 7 p.m. and movies will begin at 8 p.m. Parking at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will be free on movie nights. Moviegoers will enjoy special family-friendly activities inspired by the featured movie’s theme and kids of all ages are welcome to come dressed in character.

Community First Credit Union’s support allows the Amphitheatre to provide this community entertainment at no charge. “We are excited to celebrate the fourth year of the Community First Night Owl Cinema Series,” explained Ryan Murphy, Director of the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, the organization that owns and operates the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. “The series is something people really look forward to every summer. It is directly because of Community First Credit Union’s support and their commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves that people of all ages can enjoy several evenings of free entertainment throughout the summer. We are proud and grateful for the opportunity to partner with such a generous organization for the fourth year in a row.”

We are proud to help continue this summer, family-friendly tradition,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First. “The St. Augustine Amphitheatre events are a favorite of our staff and members and we’re looking forward to another great lineup.”
