Hundreds of musicians from around the world will join local musicians for the first Sing Out Loud Music Festival. This celebration of music will take place at various venues throughout the county. Sponsored by the St Johns County Council, the Tourist Development Council and Community First Credit Union, the Sing Out Loud Festival will feature over 100 free, local and national performances staged throughout St Augustine over the course of three weekends in August and September.

Community First Credit Union had made a three-year commitment to the citizens of St Johns County, making this its largest monetary sponsorship ever made in St Johns County. Community First has been a longtime sponsor and partner with the St Augustine Amphitheatre, supporting numerous family friendly events such as the summer’s Night Owl Cinema as well as the December to Remember festivals and free concerts.

Community First is proud to make this commitment to St. Johns County,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First Credit Union. “Community First is especially proud of the work done by the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, a community treasure itself which continues to build larger and more impactful community-focused events each year. When we heard about Sing Out Loud we knew we could help support a locally-focused community event that will bring enjoyment and entertainment to attendees while giving local acts a chance to shine like never before.”

It is an honor to help bring this celebration to town,” said Ryan Murphy, director of the St Johns County Cultural Events Division. “ We are glad we can help invest in local artistic development and showcase local talent. It is a real pleasure to support local musicians.”

The Sing Out Loud Music Festival will begin Friday, August 26 and run through September 11, 2016. The community is invited to attend over 100 free performances held at over 19 different venues and various stages including the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the Backyard at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the Colonial Quarter, the Downtown Plaza, and more. All concerts are free and open to the public including the Main Showcase featuring GRAMMY-nominated and award-winning performers Brandi Carlile, Indigo Girls, Booker T. Jones and The Travelin’ McCourys which will be held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on September 9. A special fundraiser for OneOrlando will be held September 9 for the Main Showcase.
