It was a delicious day on Saturday, as thousands enjoyed a TASTE of St Augustine at the St Augustine Amphitheater. Borland-Groover Clinic, a main sponsor of the event was there making people aware of their health. “We like to get colon cancer awareness out there while supporting such a great cause.” said Jennifer Hiley, Executive Assistant for Borland-Groover Clinic.

Earth Day Celebrations were held throughout the island during the month of April 2015. With the start of the Earth Day celebration at Anastasia State Park, the Arbor Day “Out On A Limb” celebration at the SAB City Hall to the beach clean up at the Pier Park on Saturday morning, people were surely loving our Mother Earth.

Boat Week 2015 With The Best of the Best

A Picture Postcard Kind of Weekend

The waters around St Augustine Beach were awash of activity last week, thanks to the St Augustine Yacht Club’s first annual Boat Week. Sponsored by the First Coast Sailing Association, boats of all sizes were represented. With a tent set up on the bay front, the Yacht Club was sailing through the evening with award ceremonies and bands like the 418 Band, Oh No and I-Vibe to help calm the old sea dog. An ice cream social was held for the younger sailors to close out the weekend.

The Beachfront Resort Is Gone Welcome Embassy Suites

Just passed the corner of A1A Beach Blvd and Pope Rd you will see the changing beach. With the demolition being completed on the old Beachfront Resort Hotel, it is now time to remove the rubble and make room for a new Embassy Suites.

Help Paint The Lighthouse

You Can Help A Friend

The horizon was dark last week as the St Augustine Lighthouse started renovations which included, covering the top lantern. The ocean air has taken a toll on the lighthouse and since the lighthouse has not been painted for fifteen years it suffers from paint deterioration, corrosion, rust, mold as well as masonry problems.

Children Search For Eggs At St Anastasia

Thousands of plastic eggs littered the ground around St Anastasia Catholic Church on Sunday for their annual Easter egg hunt. Put on by the St Anastasia Church middle and high school youth groups, this annual event has become a staple in the community for both the young and young at heart.
