They’re Back

The grounds of Flagler College were a-bustle last weekend as hundreds of new students arrived for the 2015 – 2016 school year move-in day. Close to 900 new students (freshman and transfers) will be joining the Flagler family this school year. Students from around the globe have chosen to call Flagler home and for many, the proximity to the beach is one of the main reasons.

Fireworks Over The Matanzas 450th

Fun For The Whole Family 450th

St Augustine is the place to be next moth as we celebrate the 450th founding of St Augustine. This week long event will take place throughout downtown and at the St Augustine Amphitheatre, beginning on September 4th with a downtown street party of music, food, art and more. The week long activities will commence on September 8th with a commemorative landing re-enactment and procession from the Mission Nombre de Dios to the Cathedral Basilica. A special invitation only Commemorative Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine will follow the procession.

Community First’s Night Owl Cinema

With the end of Summer right ahead of us, Community First Credit Union and the St Augustine Amphitheatre brought the Night Owl Cinema to a close on Friday night with the beloved movie “Babe.” Along with the movie, guests were treated to amazing balloon animals created by Justin Reams of Twist of Fun Balloon Art.

Community Action Team Spreads The Word

Betty Griffin House Community Action Team Gets The Word Out!

Getting the word out on domestic and sexual abuse is not a pretty thing, but leave it to The Betty Griffin House, Community Action Team (CAT) to take on the task. Last Friday a table was set up at the Amphitheatre to do just that and CAT volunteers were on hand to answer questions, hand out information and put a pretty face to a difficult situation.

St. Augustine, FL (July 28) – The St. Augustine Art Association presented more than $5,000 in cash awards to twelve outstanding artists during the opening reception of the 6th Annual Nature & Wildlife Exhibit, on display at 22 Marine Street through August 31.
