Making Our Community Better

Congratulations go to our own St Augustine Beach Mayor, Andrea Samuels, who has been chosen as a 2015 “Home Rule Hero” by the Florida League of Cities. The award is given to those in government who inform the legislator of a local’s perspective on state issues.


Wildlife and Nature Show Opens


The Beauty Of Art!

The St. Augustine Art Association presents the 6th Annual Nature & Wildlife Exhibition, July 25 through August 31.  This acclaimed exhibit features a gallery-wide installation of original 2D & 3D artwork inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the diversity of wildlife that inhabits the great outdoors.

Joining together to Flip Flop!

Families Came Together For A Common Cause

Families and friends joined together for this years Flip Flop Till You Drop event. Celebrating it’s 13th year, this year over 700 people took to the street to show their support and raise funds for St Augustine’s Kids Bridge, a visitation center providing a safe place for kids and their parents.


 New Lions Grace The Island

Lion 1

Poised on the South side of the Bridge of Lions, sit two new majestic lions. Donated by Davis Shores residents, Wolfgang and Miki Schau, the lions have been erected in Davis Park which is known as the formal entrance to Davis Shores.

Summer Art Show

An exhibit of whimsical art by students from throughout St Augustine will be featured Thursday, July 16th at the St Augustine Art Association on 22 Marine St, downtown St Augustine. Nearly 100 students attended art camp, taught by professional artists and educators.

For close to fifty years, the Eastern Surfing Association has been making champions in and out of the water through the sport of surfing. This year, on the shores of St Augustine Beach, the 49th East Coast Surfing Championship was held for surfers of all ages.

Building a Bridge from the Beach to the Church

It was another day at the beach for the Christian Surfers as they sat under the tent enjoying the Eastern Surfing Association Sun & Surf Contest on July 4th. This group of dedicated surfers were there to build relationships by doing what they lover…surfing.

Spending the Fourth For A Reason

From fireworks on the bay front to community centered celebrations, this years fourth of July was something to celebrate.

Once again sea Grove hosted their annual 4th of July parade and community picnic. This small town event was outfitted with a parade of decorated bicycles, Uncle Sam want-a-be’s and even a dressed up pup or two. Houses throughout the community were decorated for the fourth in red, white and blue. Flags, signs, balloons and even a spinner or two graced the parade route making for a real Happy Birthday USA celebration.

Mahi Returns To The Sea

Contributed: Mahi, a juvenile green sea turtle who was rehabilitated by The Georgia Sea Turtle Center, will have something to celebrate Tuesday, July 7. After more than two years of intensive rehabilitation and care, the GSTC with local partners will release Mahi at 1 p.m. on Vilano Beach in St. Augustine, Fla. The release can be joined at the Vilano Beach Pavilion and Oceanfront Park.   Parking is located at the town center and along AIA
