This years event began at New Years Eve at 5PM but people started showing up well before that to claim their seats for the fireworks, music and fun. With hundreds of volunteers on hand to make sure everything flowed smoothly, Beach Blast Off 2015 did not disappoint. A ten dollar wrist band allowed the kids unlimited access to the Kids Zone and a beer and wine tent was set up for the adults to enjoy.

Volunteers Rhonda, Dee, Brandon and Paul were stationed at the drink booth making sure people of all ages had something to wet their whistle. 15 year old Brandon, a student at Ponta Vedra Beach High and 17 year old Paul, a Flagler Palm Coast High School student were able to acquire community service hours while Rhonda Caron was there to give her best to the community. “It feels good to help others, it is a lot of fun,” explained Rhonda as she spent her time at Beach Blast Off 2015. “We love people and I think everyone should volunteer at least once a year, it is just the right thing to do,” she continued as she gathered drinks for visitors to the booth.

Over thirty food vendors were on hand for those who craved the healthy food truck fair or the tasty carnival food. Radio station Beach 105.5 was broadcasting live and giving out prizes from local businesses. Although parking continues to be a challenge, there were over ten free parking lots around the area where a free shuttle would pick you up and bring you back to your car. VeloFest volunteers were on hand, once again, providing a free bike valet for those individuals choosing to take the two wheel transportation option.

The bands “Papercut” and “Old Enough-2-Know Better” provided music before and after the fireworks allowing people of all ages the opportunity to enjoy the evening by dancing the old year out with a beat in their hearts and a smile on their face. Beach Blast Off celebration ended at 10PM giving families time to make it home by midnight to tuck the little ones in and celebrate together by the fireside. Salt Life and many area bars and restaurants were open late into the morning for the big after party and a place to steal a midnight kiss.

Wishing you all a new year full of miracles. May you be blessed with good health, prosperity, peace of mind, and happiness in 2016! HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!
